We talk a lot about nourishment around here. But nourishment isn’t just what’s in your cup, it’s also what’s on your neighbor’s table.
And right now, a lot of tables are empty.
With SNAP benefits suspended across the country, food insecurity is rising fast and over 42 million Americans are being directly affected. Right here in our own backyard in Western North Carolina, 90,000 of our neighbors depend on this support to access food. And now, they’re being left without it.
That’s why we’re partnering with the incredible folks at Bounty & Soul to do something about it.

🚗 November 13: Drive-Thru Market Volunteer Day
From 3:00–5:30 PM, we’ll be helping run a drive-thru style community market in Black Mountain, where fresh produce, pantry staples, and supplies for kids and pets are given out with dignity, speed, and a whole lot of heart. We need 20 volunteers to help lift, load, sort, and serve.
✨ It’s hands-on. It’s high energy. It’s impact you can feel.
📦 December 4: Produce Packing Party
From 12:00–2:00 PM, we’ll be part of the Box Brigade, prepping and packing hundreds of produce boxes that go straight to families in need. This is a fast-paced, feel-good shift that helps make our weekly markets possible. We need 10 volunteers for this one. Come solo or bring a friend!

We know it’s a busy season. But just a few hours of your time can mean the world to someone who’s unsure where their next meal is coming from.
Let’s be the reason someone has fresh veggies in their fridge this week.
Let’s nourish our community together.
💚 With love,
Samm, Chief Matcha Enthusiast
