On February 1st, Matcha Nude turns FOUR and if we’re being honest, we’re feeling a little emotional about it. Not in a dramatic way (okay, maybe just a little), but in a “wow, we really did this… and we’re still doing it” kind of way.

This past year has been full of wild highs, deep lessons, and a whole lot of matcha-fueled growth. And through it all, you — our community — showed up. You shared your stories, tagged us in your matcha moments, stocked your shelves, cheered us on, and reminded us why this tiny powder has such a big impact.

So today? We’re taking a moment to look back, say thank you, and offer you a little gift to celebrate with us. 🎁

This past year has been one of wild growth, big feelings, and nonstop gratitude. While we’re positive we’re forgetting a few highlights (it’s been that kind of whirlwind), here are some of the moments that defined our fourth year in business:

🏆 Samantha Won the Propel Trailblazer Award

Our founder and CEO, Samantha, was honored with the PROpel Trailblazer Award by the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. This award celebrates emerging leaders who are making bold moves in their industries while lifting others along the way. Sam’ms dedication to building an intentional, values-driven business from the ground up is what Matcha Nude is all about and this recognition meant the world.

🌀 We Navigated the Matcha Shortage

Between climate disruptions, surging demand, and the meticulous craft of good matcha, 2025 brought sourcing challenges. But we stuck to our values: no fillers, no shortcuts, no compromise.

🌿 We Launched First Whisk

Our smoothest, most beginner-friendly matcha yet. Crafted to make matcha feel doable and delicious for everyone. It’s already become a go-to for thousands of you and we couldn’t be prouder.

🤎 We Launched Hojicha

Smooth, toasty, and low in caffeine, hojicha was the quiet hero we didn’t know we needed and now? It’s flying off shelves and into lattes across the country.

🤝 Our Team Grew (In the Best Way)

This year we welcomed Jeff, Lindsey, and Ashley to the Matcha Nude crew! From operations to creative and customer love, they’ve each brought their own magic to help us scale with heart.

🥬 We Showed Up for Our Community

One of the most meaningful parts of 2025? Giving back. We partnered with our friends at Bounty & Soul and spent 4 days volunteering in our local Western NC community. From food distributions to hands-on support, it reminded us why we do what we do to nourish, connect, and uplift, both inside and out.

🌟 We Received the Sky High Award

Matcha Nude was also awarded the Sky High Award, which honors local businesses making a big impact in Asheville and Buncombe County. This recognition celebrates our commitment to innovation, job creation, and community-minded growth. It’s not just about matcha, it’s about doing good while growing strong.

🏆 We Made the Venture 15 List

Coming in at #9 felt surreal. It was a full-circle moment that proved you can build something real, meaningful, and wildly fun and still grow like crazy.

🛍️ We Made Wholesale Easier

After too many emails and texted orders to count, we launched our new wholesale website, a big win for our cafe and retail partners who wanted faster, simpler ways to get their hands on matcha (and now hojicha too).

🌱 We Joined the Optimist Ventures Cohort

We were honored to be selected for Optimist Ventures, a founder-first accelerator that’s all about building sustainable, joyful businesses. This program gave us tools, mentorship, and a powerful community of like-minded entrepreneurs. It was a game-changer that helped fuel our next stage of growth with clarity, confidence, and heart.

✨ We Had Our First Team Retreat

In person. With real hugs. And matcha lattes (obviously). Getting face time with our small but mighty crew reminded us what we’re building here, not just a business, but a community.
