Ingredients

Cinnamon Roll Simple Syrup (makes 6–12 servings)
Cinnamon Roll Hojicha Latte (makes 1 serving)
Directions
To make the cinnamon roll simple syrup, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla bean in a small pot. Bring to a low boil, then reduce to a simmer. Simmer until the mixture has reduced by half; it should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Strain the simple syrup through a fine-mesh sieve. Save the vanilla bean to use in baking (hint: try adding the seeds of the vanilla bean to your favorite shortbread or sugar cookie recipe).
Pour the cinnamon roll simple syrup into a jar or container with a tight lid and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
To make the Hojicha latte, heat the milk in a saucepan, in the microwave, or using a milk steamer. Stir in 1-2 tsp cinnamon roll simple syrup.
Make the Hojicha shot by whisking the hojicha powder with a splash of water.
Pour the milk mixture into a mug, top with the Hojicha shot, and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
