Alright, snack lovers, gather 'round! Have you ever picked up a fancy snack at the store, flipped it over, and seen an ingredient list longer than your last grocery receipt? Yep, us too. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and whip up something just as fancy but way healthier.
Instead of 20+ mystery ingredients (most of which you can’t even pronounce), we used just 3 simple ingredients to create your new favorite snack! These little bites of heaven are gluten-free, dairy-free, and can even be refined sugar-free, depending on your chocolate of choice. Trust me, you'll be munching on these non-stop!
Ingredients
- 1 cup lightly roasted whole almonds (check the ingredients—make sure they’re SIMPLE!) 🌰
- 1½ cups dark chocolate chunks (We’re 💯 biased towards Hu Kitchen gems because they’re made with coconut sugar, cacao, and coconut butter!) 🍫
- 1–2 tsp Matcha Nude 🍵
-
Optional twist: Try white chocolate instead of dark and mix 1 tsp matcha powder directly into the melted chocolate.
Directions
Prep Your Tray
Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a nonstick baking mat. Trust us—this step will make everything (including clean-up) so much easier.
Melt That Chocolate
Microwave Method: Heat chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round. Stirring helps the chocolate melt without burning.
Double Boiler Method: Place chocolate in a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water. Stir continuously until smooth and fully melted.
Coat Those Almonds
Dunk your roasted almonds into the melted chocolate, ensuring each almond is fully coated. Use a fork to fish them out and transfer them to a second fork to let excess chocolate drip off. Place them neatly on the lined baking tray with a little space between each almond.
Chill Time
Pop the tray into the fridge for about 30 minutes .This step hardens the chocolate and preps them for their matcha dusting.
Matcha Dusting Magic
Once the chocolate is set, it’s time for the matcha magic! Use a fine mesh sifter to evenly dust the almonds with Matcha Nude.
Feeling extra playful? Pop the almonds into a bowl with a lid and give them a good shake to coat evenly.
